The Oregon Coast

I had the chance to go to to Oregon Coast with my family, where we stayed at a hotel right on the water! We stayed with my Aunt, who I haven't seen since I was shorter than my mom!!!! We laid on the beach, ate fancy seafood, and watched multiple movies! We could hear the waves crash right outside the room! The water was freezing, but the sun was out the whole time. I managed to get a decent tan. . . only to be disappointed because I fell asleep on my tummy. So all I escaped with was a back tan. Oh well.. We got to go to the Outlet malls, and I got some school clothes for school. I also got another Coach makeup bag, but bigger. Who knew the key to getting more Coach was getting more makeup? (: Me and my family don't spend that much time together; we all go do our separate things when we are all in the same place. So I guess that's why we managed to fight at least four times in four days! But we had tons of fun, and it was really nice getting away from the clouds!
You know how they say 'It doesn't matter where you are in the world, as long as you are with the people you love, it's home'? I beg to differ. The first night we were there, I craved my "home" surroundings. I was having separation anxiety from my computer the whole time! That's kinda sad.. but I did manage get a taste of home when Eclipse played on Showtime! I was so excited!
We also went to a lighthouse that had 112 stairs to the top! I joked that I had been training for this because of the 91 stairs there were to get to the beach from the hotel. It was so amazing! We had been watching the light from our suite, and we actually got to go up and see it! Very cool!
I got some funny stories about my dad from my Aunt Robin. You wouldn't believe how pathetic he was! Oh wait, yes you would! It was good though, to know that my dad had some fun when he was a kid, despite everything. I even got some ideas. . .
It was hard saying goodbye to my Aunt, but I am very glad to be home! I missed my kitty cat and my doggies!

Flying Solo

Okay, I know this is very delayed but better late than never right? So I flew (alone!!) to Georgia (where my sister lives). She had just had her baby, Elizabeth 2 months earlier. We planned to go to Charleston and stay on the beach!! I got to sight see and soak up some sun! It was really hot over there! Meeting my brand new niece was amazing! She is such a beautiful baby girl! I never knew just how many people stop and coo at babies!! That feeling never gets old (: I stayed for about two weeks, which made it so much harder to leave!! In Charleston, we went to Fort Sumter, a Ghost Tour, a plantation, and tasty restaurants! I got Beth to smile a BUNCH! She is such a happy baby. When we got back to Georgia, we went to The World Of Coke! It was so awesome! We got to see the history of coke and a new commercial for coke, and got to taste A BUNCH of coke products from all over the world. If you ever go, you have to try the Beverly. It's the best! I loved being reunited with my sister! I barely ever get to see her :( We cooked together and tried making peppermint patties... and semi-failed.. It was nice being away from my parents for a change. I really didn't want to leave! I found myself crying coming home rather than leaving! But the good news is I get to go back in August! I am so excited! And then they are coming here in the fall so I will get to see them once again!

Waiting for my vacation!

I only have 12 more days till I leave to go see my neice! I have typed up a huge list of everything I am packing just to keep my sanity while waiting... lol. I am sooo not worried about the flight since it's later at night so I will most likely sleep through it. The only thing is though, is that there are three rows of seats, and three seats per row and not only am I in the middle row, but I am in the middle seat. Maybe I will ask to switch with one of my neighboors... anywayyyyyys... I got a new bather, plus a load of new clothes so I am super excited. I don't know if I will be able to post all the pics on here cuz I will have so many! lol. School is growing on me so I am officially staying @ HRMS. The sun seems to be staying out longer, which excites me! I always love when it's like 10pm and the sun is just then setting. Saturday I have a partay!!!! But I CAN STILL BABYSIT!!!
I really need the money so give me really long shifts!!! hahaha I will baby sit 10 times a day if I have to. But my vacation requires me to pay for my own things... I know it's weird the world people live in... bahaha jk. So anyone who needs a sitter, I AM HERE!!!
That about wraps up my present life... so ttyl!

Flag Day

Yesterday was Flag day. We had a few activities in class about this national 'holiday'. We made a beaded key chain of the American flag and answered some questions. One of the questions was What do you think of when you see an American flag flying? I thought about this and normally I really don't think much of it. But when I really think about it I feel proud. My favorite part of our National Anthem is the part where it says "Oh, say, can you see, by the dawn's early light,
What so proudly we hailed at the twilight's last gleaming?
Whose broad stripes and bright stars, thru the perilous fight,
O'er the ramparts we watched, were so gallantly streaming?
And the rockets' red glare, the bombs bursting in air,
Gave proof through the night that our flag was still there.
O say, does that star-spangled banner yet wave
O'er the land of the free and the home of the brave?"
This song, the flag, the soldiers, the people these things all make me proud that I live in a great country with my great family =) In case your wondering what I wrote down for my answer I wrote " When I see my flag flying high I feel so proud, so lucky, so grateful, touched, simply happy." As for the other questions they were silly, like how many stars are there on the american flag? Haha, I answered that "Ummm 49?". Just kidding. Anyway I challenge you to think about what you really think about when you see the american flag. 9.1.01 perhaps? War? Comment on what your answer would be =) Moment of silence? Nah.Anyway I don't think that will happen since Jess, your the only one who reads my blog and you have the little munchkins =P
Haha. So Jess what do you think of when you see the flag up? *laugh*
